Post C

Two kinds of block travel here. Empty colour fields may change size on the way — the ledge is now the full width of the page, and on the study page it was three columns — because a snapshot of a colour scales without harm. The claim, which carries words, keeps its two columns and two rows on every post. It translates; it never scales; its words crossfade from the old page's to this one's. The plane +1 pop keeps its span and its shadow, which travels with it, offset one microcolumn as ever, because the snapshot includes the block's ink.

The glass has gone from this post, and it sank as it left; on the study page and the two others it lies over whatever it lies over, checked once against the ledger. Everything you have seen degrades: a browser without cross-document view transitions gets ordinary navigation and this page; a reader who prefers reduced motion gets a crossfade and no travel. The composition never depended on the motion — which is the whole doctrine, and the reason the study is called persistence rather than animation.
